We the People should question the “experts” and our elected leaders.
There is data that suggests that the “flatten the curve” approach has resulted in prolonging the impact rather than shortening it. We should protect the most vulnerable among us but the answer was not and is not to conscript everyone possible to their homes. The result is that America was needlessly shut down by a serious but manageable medical condition that quickly became and is now mostly a political condition. They followed models that were quickly shown to be in error yet repeatedly followed them anyway. They took actions that ensure our “compliance” by being duplicitous in recording causes of death to “enhance” the reason to follow and not question.
Instead, our “leaders” took a one size fits all approach. Had that been the direction we took, it would have been the right thing to do. In the beginning, it was wise to take precautions to ensure that the most vulnerable were not impacted. The manipulation that I am referring to is occurring on two-levels, people who won’t or don’t question authority when they should and “leaders” who are themselves frightened either about the next election if they don’t follow the prevailing “wind” and won’t challenge the experts or those who take advantage of the population now that they have them scared enough to comply. That’s why elected officials must be held accountable for following the advice of bureaucrats without sufficiently challenging them. It doesn’t matter the application when the “experts” are left to their own devices without check or balance, they will inevitably design a system that is as perfect as you can get for their specialty but isn’t necessarily the system we need, want or that works for America. I do believe that the “experts” were given full control at the beginning which all in all was a mistake. I don’t believe this started out as a conspiracy to shut America down. When some read that, they immediately see “conspiracy” theory.
